Al een paar dagen, dat dan weer wel. Discussie over zijn werk is inmiddels volop losgebarsten. The star (uit Toronto) geeft een tegengeluid tegen de ver-"basquiat"-isering van zijn werk.
"Basquiat's life was about the work. Even his drug use was about the work. He would snort coke all night to paint and then shoot up in the morning to fall asleep."
"Snow's work is the stuff teenage kids do at parties."

A confluence of classical music and Street Art.
GO Gallery will once again organize a group exhibit with almost two dozen artists and Laser 3.14 as guest curator, titled: Aerosol Symphonies - Part II.
Some of the participating artists, to name a few, are: Laser 3.14, Hugo Kaagman, BLADE (NY city), The London Police, Quik, Def P, Peter Pontiac, Delightdelirium, etc..
All the artists have chosen a piece of classical music, which has touched them personally.
With this piece of music, the artists have then made an artwork, a composition of their own, a painting.
Just as the composer was inspired by his surroundings, the artist has let him/herself be inspired by their favorite composer.
The opening on Saturday the 16th of August 2008, will be accompanied by a performance by classically trained Finnish Singer and Violinist, Mirella Pirskanen.
She gained international acclaim with her performances at Cirque Du Soleil, Holiday on Ice and Flairck.
The Sound of Color
Five bands were commissioned to write five songs based on five different colors. Five directors then shot music videos of each song/color. The result is Sound of Color. Dntel, one half of The Postal Service, lends his signature sound to the color Red. Director team Blip Boutique take us on an inspired journey into a world where the real meets the imagined--call it the world of Red

De NOWHERE ART workshop gaat weer van start! In de attachments kun je meer informatie vinden over wat de plannen zijn. Maar zoals dat wel vaker gebeurd in creatieve processen kan er nog van alles gebeuren en is er ruimte voor een ieders inbreng.
We hopen dat we de oude garde weer mogen verwelkomen en natuurlijk weer nieuwe gezichten te zien!
Stuur dit mailtje vooral door naar iedereen die je kent, sleur je vrienden aan de haren mee en make stuff happen.
